FLIR Systems is Now Teledyne FLIR

As one of Europe’s exclusive Teledyne FLIR Premium Partners, we stock thermal imaging equipment designed for use in many different industries and environments. We've been supplying FLIR products for a long time, which you may have recognised by the name FLIR Systems.

However, the company has now been acquired by Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, so you’ll now see it as Teledyne FLIR across our website. But you don't need to worry about the quality of their equipment, as the company will continue delivering the best thermal imaging products on the market.

Take a look at what’s changed.

The Acquisition

FLIR Systems, which was created in 1978 to provide thermal imaging systems for the aerospace industry, has now been acquired by Teledyne Technologies, which offer, among other services, imaging equipment for several markets. The deal was completed for $8 billion (around £5.8 billion), a combination of cash and shares, and both FLIR and Teledyne are thrilled about the future.

Jim Cannon, President and Chief Executive Officer of FLIR, has this to say about the acquisition: “We could not be more excited to join forces with Teledyne through this value-creating transaction. Together, we will offer a uniquely complementary end-to-end portfolio of sensory technologies for all key domains and applications across a well-balanced, global customer base.

“We are pleased to be partnering with an organization that shares our focus on continuous innovation and operational excellence, and we look forward to working closely with the Teledyne team as we bring our two companies together to capitalise on the important opportunities ahead.”

High-Quality Technology

FLIR, which has the motto of being “The World’s Sixth Sense”, intends to carry on improving its services and delivering increasingly better technologies. This means manufacturing innovative imaging equipment that meets your business’ needs.

So, you don’t have to worry about a difference in quality – the thermal imaging cameras the company provides will stay exactly the same, while new models and equipment will be developed in the future. This means that the company will stay at the forefront of the infrared technology sector.

The result is that you will continue to see products that are fit for purpose and designed to meet the demands and requirements of many different industries. As a global company, Teledyne FLIR has a long reach, creating specialist products like thermal imaging cameras, gas detection cameras, monitoring systems and video management systems.

Whether you require imaging technology to keep your premises safe, to make a film or even to identify the possibility of fires, Teledyne FLIR has everything you need in its vast portfolio. And we’re proud to be their premium partners, helping you to receive cutting-edge equipment that improves your efficiency and that of your company.

You can buy or rent our FLIR thermal imaging cameras and benefit from products that allow you to identify issues in your premises, put a building under surveillance, detect electric faults, find leaks and so much more. This type of technology ensures that no property is destroyed during the surveying processes, since there’s no need for any physical changes to the environment.

Because we understand that each case is unique, we provide equipment for specialised areas like diagnostics, film production, automation, security, fire detection software and cladding inspections. We also offer training so that you can make the most of your FLIR products.

Also, Teledyne FLIR is constantly creating new cameras and developing new technology, so we keep up to date on the latest infrared thermal imaging too. This includes smaller equipment and handheld pieces, as well as cameras you can install on the wall.

If you’re looking for a more cost-efficient option, you can choose our pre-owned cameras, which provide the same high quality as new products. You can also rent out the cameras if you’re unsure whether purchasing is the right option for you at the moment.
